Freddy Mercury - a cat we took in for a few weeks.  When his real owner picked him up we found out he went by the name  "DJ" - he still wonders over here for visits.

A year after Janis passed away, we decided to adopt another cat in hopes it would keep Ella company.  We decided to adopt a rescued cat and through a friend of a friend I heard that a Dog Rescue organization had 2 cats whom had decided to adopt the dog shelter.  At the time they were living at a 'foster' home and the woman's daughter named them Ivy and Ginny (as in Harry Potter).  The shelter guessed Ginny was Ivy's daughter from the way they acted and that Ivy did have a litter previously, thus they really wanted to someone to adopt them both....and we did.  Since we always had named our cats after singers, we found Victoria Spivey (close enough to 'Ivy") and Ginny Sims who both sung with Louie Armstrong.  Spivey and Ginny are now our only 2 cats.

Our newest cats are...Victoria Spivey

(named after a Jazz singer)

And her daughter(?) Ginny Sims

Ginny absolutely LOVED this box and we didn't have the heart to toss it for a few months.
